Making Your Wall Beautiful With Decorative Wall Stencils
Filed Under Home Decor, Home Improvement | Leave a Comment
The walls should be first washed free of any dust, grime and dirt and any cracks or holes filled. After making sure that the wall is dry, you place your stencil on the wall and stick it with adhesive before tapping the brush into the stencil design severally until the required hue is attained.
If you are the type with young children in the house and you are quite sure that the wall will be prone to touching by children, then you can opt to apply a top coat of either acrylic varnish or better still polyurethane. And one of the factors to consider before applying polyurethane is that there is the type which is yellowing and which might therefore damage your stencil. This should only be applied after twenty four hours, and it is only after the wall has dried up. Two to three coats are advisable, with drying breaks in between.

Filed Under Home Improvement | Leave a Comment
There are times when you move into a new house and you feel that giving it a whole new look is the only way out, well, here’s how. You first select a drawing and then proceed to acquire a transparent pen and paper, before getting an overhead projector.
Note that murals are made through machines that can cost up to the upwards of a hundred dollars. The basic pencil, eraser and paint brushes accompanied with the paint will be needed. The fist step is to trace a bold line on the transparent paper using a transparent pencil then putting the image on a projector and shining it onto a wall. A simple way of changing the size of the image is either moving the projector closer or further from the wall, since it is where the line drawing will be shone. Trace all the lines using a pencil and make sure that all that is done at once since after the projector has been moved it will be quite difficult to match them again. The final step is selecting the paints that are supposed to fill in the drawing. While doing this it is recommended that you use a thin brush and black paint to go back after the pencil lines.

The first thing you ought to bear in mind is the fact that the type of timber that you decide to use for your book shelf will go a long way in determining whether or not it will be of high quality or not. Simply put, if you opt for soft timber then it means that the weight of your books could see to it that it comes down, the vice versa is also true.
Again the size and amount of wood and related equipment you need will depend squarely on the number and size of shelves you want. Also if you think that you might be in a position where nails will be needed, then the width of your wood will determine whether or not you will use the thick, thin, long or short type of nails. You should however keep in mind that you might one day want to change the design and purpose of the shelves and it is therefore advisable that you be generous with the nail depth.

One of the first things to think about is the color as it is one of the things that meet the eyes when you enter the kitchen. If the kitchen already has a color that you want to stick to, you can only add a new coat to the color. One of the best colors for appliances is white but you can as well use black as secondary color.
Other things to look at include the ovens, fridge, dishwasher, range hoods among others. One of the first things that you have to ask yourself before you can think of buying rattan furniture is to know what is meant by the term Rattan furniture. It is a kind of distinct style of furniture that is traditionally constructed from the rattan vine. It is found in South East Asia and several other tropical climates and it has been used for several years in the construction of household goods and furniture.
One of the main reasons why you should buy the rattan outdoor furniture is because of their durability. Secondly, the rattan vine is readily available and is found in most countries in the South East Asia. The rattan is stiff and tough in its natural state but when heat is applied the vine becomes workable and pliable. Once the heat is removed, the vine returns to its strong, stiff and durable state which is ideal in the construction of outdoor furniture.
